Brianna Flowers began her journey in dog training at a young age with her chihuahua, Layla. Together, they worked as a therapy dog team, visiting hospitals and assisted care facilities. At just 13 years old, Brianna experienced the profound bond between dogs and people first hand, and fell in love with it. Now, she dedicates her efforts to educating dog owners in creating lasting connections and clear communication between them and their dogs, improving the lives for all involved.
The trainer here at K90 Degree has achieved several certifications in dog training and animal behavior. After her 5 years of service in the Army as a military police officer, Brianna completed her Canine Behavior and Psychology certification and gained hands on experience with dogs as a kennel technician. During her time in this role, she deepened her understanding of dog body language and learned canine first aid. She quickly became a full time trainer, and had the opportunity to mentor under experienced trainers for several years, gaining invaluable knowledge and insight into the world of dog training both in obedience and advanced behavior issues.
Driven by her passion for dog training, Brianna attended Highland Canine International School for Dog Trainers, where she graduated as Salutatorian and Master Dog Trainer. She was honored with a place in the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society for maintaining a 4.0 GPA and received both the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Presidential Leadership Award. As a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, Brianna is committed to enhancing her knowledge and skills to assist as many dogs and their families as possible.
Brianna Flowers employs a modern approach to dog training. She utilizes positive reinforcement to create desired behaviors, such as commands and advanced sequences. For behavior problems, she adopts a balanced approach, incorporating positive reinforcement to encourage good behaviors and corrective measures to reduce undesirable ones. This method helps dogs not only learn commands but also understand the distinction between right and wrong. Each training plan is tailored to the unique needs of the dog and its owner, showcasing Brianna's expertise and skill through the success of the dogs she trains.
